Pion pages

This page was inspired by the lovely photo of 2 of my Dads cousins. It looks like they are looking out from the page at the butterflies and flowers.

For the backing I used a rich brown fairly stiff 12 x 12 card, but not too dark. I then aged all of the edges of my chosen paper with a craft knife and used the distress ink, walnut stain, to give an all over aged look to the edges.

The paper I have used is from "From my Heart II," Homing Pigeons and the reverse of Rose Frame, a lovely striped effect which I used for some backing, punched a pretty border from a Martha Stewart punch and inked the edges.

I used the letters from "Studio of Memories" and inked up with aged mahogany and brushed corduroy

There were strips of rose frame so I was able to cut out some pretty flowers to use.  The heart is Tags, From the HeartII and the butterflies from the cut out sheet in Studio of memories.

The ribbon is from the shop as are the Prima flowers and rosebuds.

Don't they look adorable?
