To cook my turkey......

My turkey is due to go into the oven soon. First smear butter thickly over the breast to protect it during cooking. Then place rashers of streaky bacon on top of the butter. Put an onion into the cavity. Wrap with 2 layers of tinfoil leaving a nice space above the breast. This will create a mini oven around the turkey. Place in a pre-heated oven at 180c and cook for 1 hour and turn the oven down to 140c to cook slowly

Grandma Beaty's Christmas Cakes

Grandma Beaty's fabulous Victorian recipe Christmas Cakes.
Matured for a minimum of one year and fed with brandy monthly.
The recipe for these great cakes dates back to pre 1900 and there are loads more of the recipes that I use in my cooking!
The cakes have now been fed for the last time before Christmas and can be purchased either iced or un-iced. Price is by weight £20.00/kg for the un-iced cakes and an £18.00 charge for icing.

**** If you are icing your own cake don't forget to pick up a block of our homemade marzipan and some free range eggs for the icing.

Workshop at Southern Quarter Scrappers

Saturday 23rd and I was at Northampton for a workshop with 25 lovely ladies who belong to Southern Quarter Scrappers.
The page to be done today is Heritage 10 Series 1.
Everyone had so much fun with heavy distressing, ripping, inking, fussy cutting, embossing and die cutting.
At the end of the day there were 25 beautiful pages created.

Thank you Liz for inviting me...I had a blast

Distress and ink all your edges to your liking and glitter where required
Colour your seambinding with distress ink and water.
Screw up to give a vintage look when dried.
Scrub and dry hands thoroughly, you have been using red!
Lay everything out and take a couple of photos when you are happy with it.
Put your tags together , then stick the page, layer by layer.

Wow my album is back. How fab is this.........

We have had a blast with the group "Europe A" for the 2013 Progressive Swap. A huge thank you to Elly, Sandie, Joanne, Maxine and Jill. I just adore my album.....

Thank you to Laura for organising the swap, a great idea.

Things got a bit hectic and behind schedule at the end but now I have just today finished Elly's page,
so I will be off to the post office first thing in the morning.

Some great crafty friends made too......
I just adore my album..... (did I say that already?)

When doing a swap with an album we were all worried about whether all would be ok and to the liking of whoever own the album

I just adore my album..... (I said that already I think)
I know you will love it too

One last page to do and that's my job..............
I just adore my album
